Irene F. Wood

Irene “Kim” “The Neeners” F. Wood    77 of Hillsboro passed away Monday Nov 9, 2020 at her residence.

She was born Sept 12, 1943 in Philadelphia PA; she was preceded in death by her Father Francis Kimble and her Step mother Mildred Kimble.

She graduated Canoga Park High School in Canoga Park CA; she attended Pierce Jr. College and California State University in Northridge CA.

She was a veteran of the US Woman’s Army Corp as a medical surgical dental assistant. She worked at various hospitals, and enjoyed volunteer work including meals on wheels and girl scouts and campfire girls and volunteered for the POW association.

She married Robert Wood on March 21 1962.

She is survived by her husband Robert, two daughters Cindy (Tim) Garman of Hillsboro and Nancy (Greg) Froelich of Garden Grove CA, 5 grandchildren Carissa (Phil) Zamora, Glen Carbon Il, Emilie (Devin) Moroney St Louis MO, Taylor (MJ) Schifano Garden Grove CA, Nicholas (Jordan) Garman of Oklahoma City OK, Sean (Brenna) Froelich Garden Grove CA.,and 8 great grandchildren Patrick, Sophie and Zachary Zamora, Andre and Gibson Moroney, Piper, Cooper and Hunter Garman.

Private Family services will be held Saturday Nov. 14, 2020

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro

Memorials can be directed to the Salvation Army or Paws Care.
