James "Jim" W. Palmer

James “Jim” W. Palmer 87 of Hillsboro passed away Aug. 15, 2021 at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

He was born in Schram City on Jan. 15, 1934 to Scott and Rada (Pritchett) Palmer.

He was a Hillsboro High School graduate and member of Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge, Hillsboro Moose Club and VFW 1306. He served in the US Navy from 1952-1956.

He worked in Communications, computers and accounting for Pacific Telephone, AT&T and Bell Labs.

He married Yvonne M. Palmer in San Francisco CA on Sept. 5, 1953 and she survives along with one son Scott Palmer of CA. two grandchildren Tyler Palmer and Nacole Gunsky both of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Lawrence Palmer and one sister Marcellar Palmer.

A private memorial service will be held.
