Joyce (Bentley) Hemken

Joyce May (Bentley) Hemken 92 Passed away Tuesday Oct. 18, 2022 at 2:27 AM     at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 20, 1930 in Sorento IL to Vivian Henry and Rose Maude (Grigg) Bentley.

She was a mother and homemaker and many other jobs throughout the years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church in Hillsboro. She was a church pianist and liked to do crossword puzzles.

She married Dwight E. Hemken on April 18, 1953 and they were married over 69 years. She is survived by her children Rev. Jeff (Patty) Hemken of Phoenix AZ and Nancy (Reg) Wood of Licking Mo., 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Dwight on Sept 25, 2022 her parents one daughter Kathy Ann (Hemken) Blake and siblings Ruth (Bentley) Viola, Evelyn (Bentley) Turner, Doris (Bentley) Wall and Nancy (Bentley) McGee.

Memorials can be directed to the Calvary Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be Wednesday Oct. 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
