Judy Miles

Judith A. (Snell) Miles, age 81 of Pittsboro, North Carolina formerly of Raymond and also of rural Cypress, Illinois passed away at 12:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at her home.
 
Judith was born August 31,1941 in Cypress, Illinois to Delbert P. Snell and Virginia R. (Sanders) Snell.
 
She was a graduate of Karnak High School. Judith graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Master's degree in Education. She was a educator in Panhandle District 2 Raymond, Illinois for 28 years. 
Judith and Jerry Miles were united in marriage on July 4, 1959.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly R. Miles of Whittier, North Carolina; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Vandergriff (Ken); and great grandson Daniel M. Vandergriff of Cary, North Carolina; granddaughter, Nichole  A. Hampton of Pittsboro, North Carolina and sister, Sue (Snell) Neill of Golconda, Illinois.
 
Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Miles; daughter, Wendi A. Miles; mother and father Virginia R. (Sanders) Snell and Delbert P. Snell; three brothers, Arnold P. (Buddy)Snell, Delbert R. (Mutt) Snell and Tommy F. Snell.
 
Visitation will begin held at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, IL at 11am Saturday, October 22, 2022 with the funeral service beginning at 1pm.  Internment will follow at west Eden Cemetery, Cypress, Illinois. 
Reverend Donny Sanders will officiate.
