Kailyn Treece

Kailyn Treece, 24, of Hillsboro, passed away March 24, 2024.

Kailyn was born January 26, 2000, in Granite City, Illinois, to Winford Treece and Amanda Louise Schmollinger-Angle.

She was a graduate of Granite City High School and had worked in restaurants including Panera Bread and at the Amazon Warehouse. Kailyn was a great mother to Mason, a caring person and a light within herself.

Kailyn is survived by her step-father and step-mother, John Schmollinger and Tabatha Osborn, step-mother Stephanie Treece, a beloved son Mason Treece and grandmother Victoria White. Also surviving are her siblings Jessica, Annika, Isisa, and Gabbie Schmollinger, Elijah Defenbaugh, Brittany (Kevin) James, Amanda (Kyle) Everett, as well as her niece Dahlia James and nephew Jude James.

She was preceded in death by her parents Winford and Amanda.

Memorials can be directed in care of her son, Mason Treece.

A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
