Lillie Mae (Striplin) Bugg

Lillie Mae Bugg 86 of Taylor Springs passed away at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care, Tuesday Dec. 5, 2023.

Lillie was born April 11, 1937 in Litchfield IL to Woodrow Wilson and Mary Mae (Cavinder) Striplin.

She was a graduate of Litchfield High School; she worked at Kroger Grocery and Haarstick Ace Hardware both in Hillsboro.

She married Robert “Bob” Bugg on April 5, 1954 in Biloxi MS.

She is survived by children April (Sonny) Leetham of Hillsboro, Bobbi Hartman of Hillsboro, Craig (Debra) Bugg of Raymond, Debora (Andrew) Lemke of Columbia MO and Geoffrey (Fiancée Allysa) Bugg of Great Falls MT, 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and  5 Great-Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob and one brother Jim Striplin.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist church in Hillsboro where she was church librarian and member of the choir. She enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Calico Twirlers, Red Hat and the Luck and Buck Saddle Club. She enjoyed needle work and bowling.

Memorials can be directed to Calvary Baptist church Music Department or PAWS Care.

A memorial service in Lillies honor will be held Friday Dec. 8, 2023 at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 1:00 PM with a visitation from 11:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
