Linda Nadine Chamberlin, age 77, of Hillsboro, passed away on July 7, 2024, at Lakeside Health and Rehab in Carlinville.
She was born on April 14, 1947, in Hillsboro to her parents James and Dorothy (Jaqua) Dudley.
Linda graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to work as a CNA with RN responsibilities. She didn’t just have a passion for helping others, but also for collecting items such as her beloved dolls. Linda was a huge fan of Elvis and Frank Sinatra, western movies, horses, lighthouses, the game of Bingo, and her Harley Motorcycles. She was also a past member of the Red Hat Society.
She married William Wilson Chamberlin and he preceded her in death in 1992.
Surviving Linda are her children Robert Chamberlin, Rita Barker, Helen (Dolan) Holloway, William (Lety) Chamberlin, Francis (Candi) Chamberlin, and Russell (Gloria) Chamberlin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Steven and Gene Gove, Megan McKelvey, Kristen Barker, Monet Bruce, Destiney Wallis, Johnny, Keltney, Jacob, Robyn, Michael, Tanner, and Paige Chamberlin, Bert Holloway, Mario and Joseph Montiel, Jacob and Alexa Rodriguez, and Priscilla Gonzalez, as well as several great-grandchildren. Her siblings Butch, George, Ida, Peggy, Jerry Lee, Lonnie, and Bob also survive her.
Besides her husband and parents, a grandchild Tavio Velazequez and her sister Doris have also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is helping the family of Linda Chamberlin with arrangements.
