Loren Lee “Peewee” Caulk, 80, of Irving, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born September 28, 1945, in Hillsboro, IL, a son of Lamar and Norma Jean (Blackwelder) Caulk. He lived in Irving his entire life, attending Irving and Hillsboro schools.
Throughout his life, Peewee found joy in simple pleasure and the great outdoors. He loved trucking and the open road, and when he wasn’t behind the wheel, he could often be found hunting, fishing, or tending to his garden. He also had a life-long passion for mushroom hunting and took pride in his collections of toy cars and antique cars, which reflected his playful spirit and attention to detail. Peewee will be remembered for his big heart, strong work ethic, and the laughter he brought to every gathering. His memory will live on through the stories, love, and lessons he shared with those closest to him.
Peewee was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend whose kindness, humor, and hard work touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Peewee is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Caulk of Irving; his children, Lori (Russell) Joyce of Irving, Kenny (Deb) Caulk of Lake in the Hills, Mandy (Brandon) Summers of Irving, Sandy (Tim) Summers of Hillsboro, and Michael Summers of Irving; his siblings, Lynn (Sharon) Caulk of Hillsboro, Leslie (Connie) Caulk of Arizona, Lance (Kenda) Caulk or Irving, and Leora (Jim) Jones of Irving. Additionally, he survived by his grandchildren, Derrick (Jennifer) Joyce and family, Dillon (Bianca) Joyce and family, Amy Caulk, Drew Caulk, Selena (Marcus) Summers, Savannah Petra, Camren Summers, Carson Summers; several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Norma Caulk, and siblings Larry Caulk and Lonnie (Barb) Caulk, who all welcomed him home with open arms.
Funeral services for Peewee will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Rev. Mike Lawton of Hillsboro Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Irving Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 until noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the United Methodist Church of Irving.
