Margaret Usher

Margaret Usher, 80, of Irving, passed away November 21, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 1, 1943, in Hillsboro, Illinois to Edward Eskra and Catherine McDade.

Mrs. Usher was a 1961 graduate of Hillsboro High School. She attended St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois before marrying her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Roger Usher. She and Roger worked together at their business and over the road truck driving. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and bird watching.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Usher of Irving, her daughter, Debby (Tim) Friedman of O’Fallon, Illinois, son, Scot (Brenda) Usher of Fillmore, as well as her grandchildren, Zachary Usher of Denver, CO, and Brittney (Jake) Tester of Farmersville, and great grandchildren Ryker Tester and Maisie Tester, and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials in Margaret’s honor may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association.

A memorial service for Margaret will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 6:00 PM with Dawson Miller officiating. A visitation will begin at 4:00 PM till the time of service.
