Marianne Luecal

Marianne Luecal, age 94, of Decatur, passed away September 5, at McClay Senior Care in St. Peter, Mo. She was born the daughter of F.J. and Anne Haarstick Poggenpohl on July 5, 1928 in Decatur.
She attended Mac Murray College and the U of I where she obtained her Masters, She taught Lake View High School and Stephen Decatur before she retired.
She was a member of Saints James & Patrick Parish in Decatur
She married Robert Luecal Aug 14, 1954 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2005.

She is survived by two son; Scott Robert Luecal of Weldon Springs, MO and Jeffrey T. Luecal of Decatur, IL also surviving are 3 Step Grandchildren and 9 Step Great Grand Children as well as many cousins.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Michelle Luecal on November 3, 2018.

Visitation will be held in Raymond, IL at Hough Funeral Home Located at 512 E. Broad St on Monday September 12, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral service at Noon. Burial will be at St. Raymond Catholic Cemetery in Raymond with Fr Florent Kanga Officiating.
