Mary Lucille (Compton) Moore

Mary Lucille (Compton) Moore, age 67, of Walshville, passed away on December 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on December 21, 1957, in Panama to her parents Ballard L. and June R. (Michel) Compton.

Mary graduated from Mt. Olive High School and attended Sanford-Brown College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Hillsboro Hospital.

She married Art Moore on March 2, 2003, and he survives her. Mary was a member of the Catholic faith. She loved the sport of horse-riding and trout fishing, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her Husband Art Moore of Walshville; Children Steven (Liz) Rademacher of St. Louis, Carrie Rademacher of Iowa, Kristin (June) Sperry of Litchfield, and Christopher Moore of St. Peters, Missouri; Grandchildren Carter, Brycen, Colt, and Wyatt Sperry; Siblings Joe Compton of Pinckneyville, Mike Compton of Litchfield, Pat Lentz of Walshville, Dan Compton of Franklin, TN, and Roger Compton of Edwardsville.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Christopher “Chris” Compton, Becky Schmitt, and Rita who passed in infancy.

Memorials in Mary’s honor may be directed to the Luck ‘N Buck Saddle Club.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
