Matthew Patrick "Pat" Clarke, age 87, of Farmersville, Il

Matthew Patrick "Pat" Clarke, 87, of Farmersville passed away January 15, 2021 at Heritage Health care in Litchfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at 11:30am. at St Mary's Catholic Church in Farmersville, IL.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30am on Tuesday January 19 at St. Mary's.
Burial will be in St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Farmersville, IL

He was born on March 22, 1933 in Farmersville, IL, the son of Matthew Patrick and Lula Rowland Clarke.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
He married Margaret Cosgriff in Jacksonville on October 19, 1957.

Pat worked for Freeman Coal Company for over 30yrs before he retired and was a member of the UMWA. He was a Farmersville Village Board Member for 27yrs, served, as a volunteer Fireman on the Farmersville Waggoner Fire Dept., was a member of the Waggoner American Legion and the Farmersville K.C. Council and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In 1987, during the annual Irish Days Celebration, Pat was recognized as the "Farmersville Citizen of the Year"

Besides his wife Marge, he is survived by two sons; Lynn (Patty) Clarke of Farmersville and Dale (Ronda) Clarke of Roanake, TX grandchildren
Dustin Clarke of Fort Worth, TX, Clayton Clarke of Farmersville, Danielle (Charles) Rombold of Lantana, TX, and Kelsey (Alexander) Johnson of Owensboro, KY also three great grandchildren Rhett, Reeve & Bradley Rombold.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by sons Dennis in 1977 and Chris in 2011, siblings; Bernard Clarke, Sister Matthias, OP, and Mary Eileen Weitekamp.
