Michael T. Short

Michael T. Short 60 of Irving passed away Nov. 5, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in Hillsboro IL on March 7, 1961 to Thomas and Mary (Baran) Short.

He was a self-employed carpenter. Known as Michael “T” he loved playing music in serval local bands and singing Karaoke.

He was a past member of the Litchfield Moose Club and St. Agnes Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother Mary and companion Barbara Thompson, one daughter Christine Short of CT., and three step children George (Kimberly) Thompson Jr. of Litchfield, Amanda (Rodney) Hessenaur of Highland and Chrystal Thompson of Irving and three step grandchildren Emily, Dyllan and Bridget.

He was preceded in death by his Step father William "Bill" Norene, one sister Wendy Norene and two brothers David Short and David Norene.

A memorial service will be held Friday Nov 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM At Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Randy Sands, pastor of Hillsboro Free Methodist Church, officiating.

Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is charge of arrangements.
