Nancy (Mellmon) Spinner

Nancy Mellmon Spinner 93 of Hillsboro passed away Dec. 23, 2021, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born May 27, 1928, in Hillsboro to Lon and Bertha Edna (Lyerla) Mellmon.

She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and a member of the Christian Church of Disciples of Christ in Hillsboro. Her main joy was spending time with her children. She also greatly enjoyed helping organize her 1946 HHS Class Reunions and socializing with her class members.

She worked at Montgomery Co. National Bank and at Jim Lantern’s Carpet Sales.

She married Harold C. Spinner at St. Agnes Catholic Church on April 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by one son Michael L. Spinner of Cleveland Ohio and one daughter Nancy Kopp of Highland Illinois, nephews Lynn Smith of Hillsboro, Joe Smith of Highland and niece Debbie Davidson of Fillmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold and one sister Donna Smith and niece Linda Logsdon.

Memorials can be directed to the Christian Church of Disciples of Christ in Hillsboro.

Cremation rites well be accorded, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
