Patricia A. Mappes

Patricia Ann Mappes, of Litchfield, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on November 6, 2023, at 11:00am.

She was born the daughter of Frank and Beulah Leitschuh Sluder in Litchfield on March 19, 1942.

She married Donald E. Mappes at Peace Lutheran Church in Belleville on August 12, 1978, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2003.

She worked in the production department at Roller Derby in Litchfield for 30 years before retiring.

She was a devoted catholic who enjoyed; reading, quilting, horseback riding, cooking, gardening, canning and spending time visiting with friends.

She is survived by her nephew Larry wife Marcia Sluder of Attica, IN., and 4 great nieces Jennifer Sluder, Nina Sluder, Leah Turpin, and Marissa Sluder.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother Orhen Sluder.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Noon. Visitation will be from 10:30 until 11:30 at the church. Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield.

Memorials in Pat's honor may be given to any area library or Holy Cross Cemetery.
