Patsy Hansel

Patsy Ann Hansel 82 of Hillsboro but formerly of Springfield passed away Jan. 6, 2021 at Hillsboro Rehabilitation center in Hillsboro.

She was born in Bloomington IL on July 25, 1938 to Nellie Birch.

She worked as a floor receptionist at St. Johns Hospital for over 17 years and Vine Street Clinic in Springfield for over 10 years.

She married Kenneth R. Hansel and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter Debbie (Alan) Kern of Arizona, two sons Kenneth D. (Carolyn) Hansel of Missouri and Norman Hansel of Virden IL, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Roy Bell.

Memorials can be directed to St. Jude’s Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Hough & Sons funeral home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
