Peggy (Cravens) McLarty

Peggy (Cravens) McLarty 65 of Litchfield passed away Friday Jan 21, 2022  at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

She was born Sept, 30, 1956 in Carlinville IL to William H and Edna (Thornton) Cravens.           

She worked as a nurse’s aide at Berry Care Center in Litchfield for 12 years. And at Echlin brake parts. She was of the Baptist faith.

She married Edwin “Ed” McLarty on May 5, 1972 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2017.

She is survived by one son Edwin (Tina) McLarty and one daughter Rachel (Robert) Townsend both of Litchfield, grandchildren Heavanah, Brennen and Melody McLarty, Kaitlyn, Robert and Blake Townsend, and two step grandchildren Blade and Ashley Hudgens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ed and Brothers Elmer, Ed, Earl David, Roy and Sam Cravens and two sisters Helen and Lilly Cravens, one niece Bernice Smith and great nephew Master Sergeant William Crays.

Funeral services will be Saturday Jan 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Hough& Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro; visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 until service time.

Burial will be at a later date.
