Robert Diesselhorst Obituary

Robert F. Diesselhorst 81 of Coffeen passed away Dec. 2, 2020 at his residence.

He was born Jan 29, 1939 in Highland IL to Fred and Emerralda (Wildhauber) Diesselhorst.

He was a graduate of Highland High School and had four years trade school. He was an extremely talented Sheet metal worker and member of Labor local 268 of Caseyville IL. He was of the Baptist faith and past member of the Litchfield Moose Club and past member of the Litchfield Jaycees.

He married Virginia Ragland on Dec. 23, 1961 and she survives, also surviving are his children Sharon Diesselhorst and John Mondin of Hillsboro, Denise Wilson of Mt. Olive and Dennis Diesselhorst of Litchfield and Lee Diesselhorst of Hillsboro, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, siblings David Diesselhorst, Carol Gibbons and Dianne Price.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Robert Diesselhorst Jr., brothers Richard and Kenneth Diesselhorst and a sister Sharon Diesselhorst.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Hough & Sons Funeral home in Hillsboro are in charge of arrangements.
