Robert "Bob" R.E. Jeffers

Robert “Bob” R.E. Jeffers 74 of Taylorville passed away April 30, 2022 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.

He was born March 13, 1948 in Litchfield IL to Claude and Martha (Tyler) Jeffers.

He worked at Jensen’s Home Furnishing in Taylorville in installation and delivery. He enjoyed gong to Arizona and treasure hunting. He was a sergeant, in the US Army serving in Vietnam where he also received a purple heart.

He is survived by two sons Russell (Mary) Jeffers of Litchfield and Robert (Lauren) Jeffers of Pocahontas, two grandchildren Brianna Jeffers and Ethan Jeffers and siblings Chas and Harold Jeffers, Phyllis Jett, Ada Lane, Ruth Ann Cooper, Ruby Forrest and Maggie Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Patty Janssen, Marilee Jeffers, Cecelia Tyler, Andy Jeffers, John Jeffers and Claudette Jett.
