Ronald “Ron” Dean Taylor, 65, of Hillsboro passed away January 27, 2023, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born August 10, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents Robert and Marie Taylor.
Ron graduated from high school in St. Louis where he also obtained a college degree. After his time served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War, Ron became a self-employed auto mechanic.
He married his long-time love Patricia Bone in Smithboro, IL on November 30, 1975, and she survives. Together they had two children, Robert (Amy) Taylor of Hillsboro and Johnny Taylor of Hillsboro. Also surviving are his five grandchildren Bradley, Ronny, Dalton, Rikelle, and Linden as well as three great-grandchildren Wyatt, Vern, and Veyda. Ron’s surviving siblings include John, Bob, Dave, Victor, Mike and Judy Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jim and Danny Taylor.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Ron’s love and passion for helping others.
Services for Ronald will be held at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Pastor Myron Kirk of Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore will be officiating.
