Sheila Marie (Hough) Masten, 66, of Raymond, passed away August 17, 2023 at her home.
She was born May 1, 1957 in Hillsboro, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Haarstick) Hough.
She worked the last three years at Webb Insurance Co. Previously she worked for Franklin Life/AIG for 30 years. She babysat many over the years. She was a high school graduate of Lincolnwood Class of 1975.
She married the love of her life and high-school sweetheart, Michael Masten of Waggoner, at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond on January 30, 1976, and he survives.
Sheila is also survived by her son John Phillip wife, Jana Masten of Nokomis, daughter Sonni (companion, Chris Irwin) Masten of Raymond, four grandchildren Madason Hefley, Ryker Masten, both of Raymond, and Jensen Masten, Jaxen Masten both of Nokomis, also surviving are two sisters Pat, her husband Larry Goyke of Union Grove Wisconsin and Terry, her husband Jim Rogers of Witt as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson Jayden Masten on October 8, 2011, and two brothers, Michael Hough in 2017 and George Hough in 2017.
Friends may leave memorials in her honor to Panhandle Third Day or the Panhandle Food Pantry.
She's a member of St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond and attend the Catholic Charismatic Renew Retreats with her cousins. Sheila had served her community as a committee member and past President of the Raymond Fourth of July Association, she had been an EMT for The Raymond Harvel Ambulance and was a United Way volunteer fundraiser. She was a member of the Raymond Harvel Firemen's Auxiliary. Sheila liked to garden and enjoyed being with family and friends and especially her grandkids.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM mass at Saint Raymonds Catholic Church in Raymond on Tuesday, August 22nd. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond on Monday August 21st. Father Dan Willenborg will be officiating and burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.
