Steven "Jim" James Kirby

Steven James Kirby, 69, passed away on September 12, 2021 at 09:55am at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Jim was born on April 19, 1952 in Chicago son of Byron James and Genevieve Zook Kirby

Jim was a contractor who specializing in Flooring installation.
He married Phyllis Rinehart which ended in divorce and he later married Lori Barrington who preceded him death May 11, 2009

He enjoyed Dancing, Western Movies and Indian Culture

He is survived by his children; Melissa Edge of Hillsboro and Steven Kirby of Smyrna, TN; also surviving are his 7 grandchildren Natalie Kirby, Cory Edge, Amber Edge, Brittany Longwell, Tyler Kirby, Brooklyn Kirby and Alex Morgan and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 2-5pm on Thursday at the Church in Raymond.
He was preceded in death his parents and spouse.


A funeral service will be held on Sept. 16, 2021 at 5pm in ,Raymond at the Raymond Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Butler officiating.
