Thomas L. Glover, Sr., 73, of Fort Myers, Florida, died on June 9, 2022 at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida surrounded by his wife, son and daughter-in-law. He was born November 5, 1948 in Hillsboro, IL to Everett “Sunny” C. Glover and Dorothy (May) Glover.
Tom obtained his GED in 1967 and enrolled in the United States Marine Corps from February 26, 1969 to February 25, 1971, serving in Vietnam for one tour. He was a loyal member of the VFW Post No. 10097 Fort Myers, FL.
Tom married his wife, Linda (Cruise) Glover in 1968. They were married for 53 years, living in Springfield, IL and later settling in Fort Myers Beach, Florida where he began his business, Tommy Tire and Sons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his siblings; Vicky Cline, Bub Glover and Jim Glover. Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda (Cruise) Glover, are his sons, Tommy Glover Jr. ( wife, Damary) (Santiago) Glover of Cape Coral, Florida and Brian Glover of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Brian Glover II, Jasmin Glover and Jacob Glover; two brothers, Ronald Glover of Raymond, IL and Everett Glover (wife, Sherry) of Fort Myers, Florida; four sisters, Donna (husband Chip) House of Raymond, IL, Rebecca Cloney of Springfield, IL, Jaynece “GC” Hendrickson of Collinsville, IL and Ginger McCullers of Raymond, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Tom wished to be cremated and a private memorial service with family and close friends will be held at a later date.
