Verna Ruth (Throne) Shuck

Verna Ruth Shuck 92 of Hillsboro passed away Dec. 15, 2019 at her residence.

She was born in Bunker Hill IL on April 28, 1927 to Greenbarry and Anna Mae (Pucket) Throne.

She was owned and operated restaurants including a café serving the Shoe factory and at the Hillsboro glass plant. She was of the Baptist faith

She was married to George Guinn for 25 years and Carl Shuck for over 43 years.

She is survived by her children Joyce (Allen) Cozello Eckelbarger of Indiana, Georgia (Tom) Gunn of Hillsboro, Patty (Larry) Meyers of Hillsboro, Barbara (Vern) Hopley of Irving, George (Karen) Guinn Walshville, Emma Sprock of Mo, Susan Guinn of Missouri, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was   preceded in death by her parents, Husbands one daughter Diana Happe and one grandson Tim Meyers, and 12 siblings.

Funeral service will be Friday Dec 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro; visitation will be from 11:30 AM until service time on Friday.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro
