Verna June June (McBroom) Hefley

Verna June Hefley, 81, of Raymond, passed away on September 11, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

June was born on June 26, 1940 in Butler the daughter of Lawrence Arthur and Thelma Irene Masters McBroom.

June was a Graduate of Hillsboro High School Class of 1958 and in 1962 She Graduated from SIU with a Bachelors Degree.
She served on the Doyle Public Library as board President. and had served as the Raymond Township Clerk.

June had worked as a Home Economics Teach in the Palmyra and Morrisonville Schools and later for the Illinois Press Association where she retired from.
She married Ronald L. Hefley in Butler on July 2, 1972 he preceded her on Nov. 10, 2013.

Verna is survived by her son Robert Hefley Sr of Raymond, IL; Grandchildren Robert Hefley, Madison Hefley, and Austin Hefley and great grandson Kenneth Lee Hefley.
