Virginia Sims

Virginia “Toots” Geraldine Sims, aged 94, of Litchfield, passed away April 11, 2024 at Hillsboro Nursing and Rehab.

Virginia was born on November 23, 1929 in Litchfield, to her parents Jesse and Nellie (Kahle) Kinder.

She worked at Brown Shoe Factory in Litchfield. Virginia also was a part of the Litchfield Moose Club #1643.

She married Cecil Sims and he preceded her in death in April of 1986.

Virginia is survived by her niece Becky (Husband Glenn) Blankenship, great-niece Nicole (Husband Tony) Wilkinson and a great-nephew Nathan (Wife Kristin) Fenton, as well as several other nieces and nephews. A sister Betty Uchtman of Litchfield also survives her.

Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her siblings Shirley Keiser, Terry Kinder, and Barbara who passed infancy.

Per Virginia’s wishes, a private family service was held.

Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
