William (Bill) Paul Schultz II of Irving, IL, previously from Gillespie, passed away peacefully at home, October 8, 2025, Wednesday morning at 10:44 am. At the time, he lived with his sister, Ruth Wilkolaski.
Mr. Schultz, 68, was born September 30, 1957 in Montgomery County. He was the son of the late William Paul Schultz and Esther Fay Schultz of Litchfield, IL.
Bill married Connie Thacker with whom they had two children and divorced later in life.
Bill was employed a short time by Wabash-Norfolk & Western but spent most of his time as a Superintendent at Marathon-Napco Plastics (Litchfield, IL) & St. Louis Plastic Bottles (St. Louis, Missouri). He also worked at short time at Utah Plastics (Utah)
Surviving are son, Brandon Schultz & daughter, Lindsay Belcher, both of Litchfield, IL. Two Grandchildren, Kalli Daugherty & Dayton Belcher, both of Missouri. Several Nieces & Nephews and grand nieces and nephews all of which he was adored by.
Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth (Dennis) Wilkolaski of Irving, IL and Judith Schultz of Edwardsville, IL, as well as, his long time best friends Doug & Karyl Dressen of Coffeen, IL.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William & Esther Schultz; Sister Sheryl Beechler & Sister Carol Hedum.
Mr. Schultz will be cremated with a small private family cemetery gathering. A Celebration of Life will be held for Bill on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Litchfield VFW.
His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever live in loved ones hearts and he will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
