William "Bill" White Obituary

William “Bill” P. White, 85 of Hillsboro passed away March 21, 2021 at Villas of Holly Brook in Springfield.

He was born July 4, 1935 in Panama IL to Charles and Myrtle (Compton) White.

He worked for the phone company as a cable splicer and co-owned Cress and White antenna service in Hillsboro. He was a US Army Veteran and he volunteered for the Hillsboro Fire Department.

He married Arlene Werner on July 15, 1956 and she preceded him in death Jan 28, 2019.

He is survived by two children Larissa (Alan) Hobbie of Hillsboro and Loren White of Springfield, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four siblings Norman, Jimmy, Betty and Bonnie.

Private graveside services and burial were held in Wares Grove Cemetery in Butler.
