Helen May Bost, age 91, of Raymond, died Friday, May 27, 2016 in Taylorville at Life’s Journey Senior Living.

Friends and Family may call from 5-7pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 1, 2016 at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Raymond with Father Jerry Bunse officiating.  Burial will be at St. Raymond Catholic Cemetery in Raymond.   

Mrs. Bost was born April 10, 1925 in Moorehouse, MO She was the daughter of the late Roy William and Lulu Eliza Klein Niehaus.  

She married Maynard “ Ducky” Bost in Hillsboro on January 15, 1953, he preceded her in death.

Helen spent most of her life farming along side her husband and being a homemaker.. She did also work as a seamstress and as a phone operator. She enjoyed life on the farm; time spent with family and friends, and a true Cardinal baseball Fan.   She was a member of the Alter and Rosary/CCW and Montgomery County Farm Bureau and she was an avid card player, belonging to card clubs and ladies clubs.

She is survived by a son Mike (Karyl) Bost of Morrisonville, 4 daughters Karen (David) Dirksmeyer of Beardstown, Donna (Mike) Martin of Farmersville, Debbie (Ron) Kibler of Divernon, Mary (companion Bill House) Davis of Auburn, two sisters Wilma Lipe of Raymond, and Ethel Robinson od Littleton, CO, 15 grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son Patrick and daughter Paula, sister Francis Niehaus and brother Bud Niehaus all preceded her in death

Memorials may be given to the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance or Alzheimer’s research.

Hough’s Funeral Home in Raymond is in charge of arrangements.
