William “Bill” Lane 70 of Butler passed away May 13, 2017 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Nov 6 1946 to Virgil and Florence (Lawson) Lane. He worked for the Village of Butler. He is survived by one son Tommy (Jodi) Lane of Witt, four grandchildren: Tommy Lane Jr., Tessa Lane, Jade Lane and Jasmine Lane all of Witt, four brothers: James “Spanky” Lane of Butler, Rick Lane of Butler, Robert (Kendra) Lane of Butler and David (Lisa) Lane of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Jerry in infancy, Gerald Lane and Henry Lawson, two sisters Ann Fletcher and Kathy Lane and one Niece Katie Fletcher. Grave side service will be Thursday May 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. James Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Cress Hill Cemetery
