John W. Simonton 56 of Schram City passed away Jan 9, 2017.

He was born in Hillsboro IL on Nov. 5, 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Geneva (Reed) Simonton Johnson. He is survived by his father Charles Simonton of Taylor Springs and step father Everett Johnson of Nokomis.

He was married to Connie Cole on Dec. 28 1979, they later divorced. He married Cayla Owens on Sept 19, 2014 and she survives.

He was a warehouse manager at Roller Derby Skate Corp. in Litchfield for 33 years. He was a member of the Litchfield Moose lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors including gardening, golfing riding his Harley and four wheeler and shooting pool.

He is survived by one Daughter Desirae Nicole Simonton and companion Andy Mahoney of Chatham and one son Jacob Charles Simonton of Nokomis, 4 grandchildren Keragan Brewer, Drayton Brewer, Mallory Fields and Kale Simonton. Surviving are 2 sisters Dawn Simonton and fiancée Michael McKerrow of Colton and Linda Satthoff husband Billy of Hillsboro, two brothers Danny Robinson of Tulsa OK and Cory Johnson of San Frisco CA., sister in law Kimberely Simonton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother Randy E. Simonton.

Funeral service will be Sat. Jan 14, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Marion Sparks officiating.

Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery.
